Q: Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we are currently accepting new therapy patients. Please complete the contact form so we can set up a free 15 minute consultation call.

Q: Are you providing in-person appointments?
Yes, in-person sessions are available in Scotch Plains, NJ. I also provide virtual sessions. We can discuss which option is best for you and/or your child.
Q: How long is each session?
Intake sessions are 60 minutes and follow-up therapy sessions are 50 minutes.
Q: How much do sessions cost?
The initial evaluation is $250 and follow-up sessions are $190.
Q: Do you take insurance?
Sandbar Psychological Services operates as an out-of-network provider for all major insurance carriers. Clients are provided with a detailed receipt (often called a superbill) that can be submitted to their insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Clients are strongly encouraged to contact their insurance company directly to verify their specific out-of-network benefits prior to beginning treatment.
Q: How does parent involvement work in therapy sessions?
Your input is an important part of the process. We will initially meet to understand your goals for your child, and we'll schedule periodic updates to review their treatment progress. For adolescents 14 and older, much of our therapy work will be conducted one-on-one.
