Characterized by a distinct pattern of inattentive and/or hyperactive behaviors that meet specific clinical thresholds, navigating a diagnosis can be a complex process. With a variety of contributing factors, diagnostic methods, and professionals involved, this journey can frequently feel overwhelming for families.

To provide clarity and guidance, Sandbar Psychological Services offers ADHD screenings. The evaluation process is thorough, incorporating the collection of standardized parent and teacher rating scales, direct behavioral observations during one-on-one interactions with the client, and objective measures as well. Should further specialized care be necessary, seamless referrals to outside providers are facilitated.

Effective treatment for ADHD is highly multimodal, requiring a collaborative approach among various professionals working together to deeply understand and optimally support each child’s unique needs.
